The Pedophilia Epidemic
I woke up today to headlines of Joe Paterno’s death, which instantly brightened my day, knowing that another individual involved (while somewhat indirectly in Paterno’s case) in pedophilia is dead. Paterno sympathizers will eschew the idea that his legacy is forever tarnished but those of us with a brain understand that money and fear stopped a group of powerful individuals from exposing Jerry...

Drexel Discography
DREXEL was Boston band active from 1996-2003 and featured original members from Big D and the Kids Table. Their first album Shot By Lammi , recorded by Jon Lammi, was a split record with Big D and the Kids Table on Fork In Hand Records. It was around the time of The Inevtiable is Available that DREXEL found its “panic rock” sound – which they are most known for today. I feel they are on of...

Another Easy Recipe – Chicken Noodle Soup
Keeping up with cooking, I made some chicken noodle soup today using a recipe I found on allrecipes.com. I grabbed most the ingredients from Whole Foods, but had some on hand. Instead of using 58 ounces of chicken broth and 14.5 ounces of vegetable broth, I cheated and used 32 ounces of each and added some water to thin the soup a bit. It tasted decent to me but next time I’ll try to stick with...

Super Easy Haddock Chowder Recipe
With a couple extra days off from work and time to kill, I decided on the spot in the grocery store to make a fish stew/soup. I took out the iPhone and Google’d recipes using haddock. After seeing a couple intermediate recipes, I came upon a haddock chowder recipe that looked super easy. Instead of 6 servings, I opted for 3 since my haddock filet was 0.55 pounds. This ended up tasting better...
